Actually, this is a fairly common problem with the Infiniti factory paint just peeling off on the hood and roof as well. Most owners who are not the original owners believe its a bad paint job (which is possible) but there are original owners who have filed claims and gotten partial and some full repaints on their cars through Infiniti. Paint as well as fit and finish have been the Achilles heel of Infiniti. Good luck.
