I have little doubt that if you went back to the dealer two days later, the car you were trying to negotiate on was sold.

Until that changes, and dealers start to doubt they can get MSRP or above, you're gonna keep waiting. Figure 2004 at the earliest - and by then I'll bet Infiniti raises the sticker considerably, so if you're lucky you'll be able to negotiate down to what sticker was when you walked out...

I think I'll wait until this summer anyways. When 350Z first came out it was same thing. But now I see them below MSRP at my local dealers. You just have to wait until the "NEW" hype is over.

 

I was at the Kirkland lot last Friday and the salesman wouldn't budge below MSRP on the 6MT. I couldn't even get him to throw in a trunk mat. But I wanted the car real bad so I ordered one in black........

 

I agree that the 6MT won't go under MSRP anytime soon. I never even see these on the dealer lots -they're in and out within hours.

If anything, you might see them willing to negotiate on base models with AT in a few months.
