Below MSRP?

So is it possible to get it under MSRP yet in SoCal? I am thinking about getting a G35 Coupe and wanted to know. Thanks,

Re: Below MSRP?

Which one are you getting: 5AT or 6MT? You can probably go under MSRP for the 5ATs, but I doubt you can go any much lower than MSRP for a 6MT.

Re: Below MSRP?

I just got mine from Cerritos Infiniti in So. Cal, and they would not even consider a penny off the MSRP. They showed me a long list of people who are on waitlist who will gladly pay MSRP.

Re: Below MSRP?

I'm in San Diego and at my local Infiniti dealer, they have about 7 new G35 Coupes in the lot. At least 4 of them are 6MT. I was talking to them and I think I can negotiate on the price. At worst, it will probably be MSRP.

I'm looking at a Obsidian Black G35 6MT w/
Premium
Performance Tire Pkg.
Nav
Aero Spoiler/Diffusers
Aero Body Kit
Trunk Mat

for about $37,500. Thats around 500+ off msrp. Hopefully it will work out.

Re: Below MSRP?

When I was talkin to my dealer (torrance, Peyton Cramer) weirdly enough, this was back in late feb. and the dealer lot (online) said that they had a 6mt fully loaded... it was listed around 38,000. I called to ask them and they said that they had it in their lot for a while. I played dumb and asked how much they were askin for it. The lady said that it's about 38,000 (at which time i let out a *GASP*) and she was a little hesitant on what to do and so i jumped in and said, "well will you guys be willing to negotiate on the price? I'm really tight on my budget"

The woman said this car is a hot seller and i don't think that the manager will negotiate on it but let me speak to him real quick. I was shocked... and more than willingly obliged to wait. She came back in about 5 minutes and said well, the manager said no, but give me a set price and I think i can work something out with him. She also said something about a pre-set price. I said well, I'm in the market for a 35k car and she said, well, that's about the price we had in mind.. let me try to convince him. if you'd leave me your name, #, blah blah. I just left her a my email address and couple days later got an email sayin they had got new shipment of G35 coupes. IF this dealer was serious, i think it proves that it's possible to get the G35 coupe for under MSRP (AND THIS WAS A 6MT TOO!) but then again, we all know how much of cold-blooded suckers those dealers can be. Hopefully, I'll be gettin my G35coupe in fall when i head off to school. I think it's worth a try to get a dealer to lower the price on cars that have been sittin on their lot a while. Besides, like some one else said, what's the worst that can happen? Pay MSRP? HA... worth the try people... worth the try. Just my .02cents

Patiently waiting for the G!

Re: Below MSRP?

Pretty sure you won't find below sticker in OC. This was my conversation at Tustin's Infinity.
Me: I'm interested in looking at a g35 coupe
Salesman: Lucky for you we got one for sale, come over here.
Me: Sale!?
Salesman: Sale as in you can buy,
Me: Will you go below sticker.
Salesman: No way!

He did say that they will negoiate abit on the g35 sedans tho.

Re: Below MSRP?

Same boat here they would not budge off off MSRP for a car 5AT coupe sitting on their lot.

I never let a dealer make a 4g profit before on a car... but in this case since they would not budge on the car on their lot. I had no choice but to order what I wanted at MSRP. Might as well get exactly what I want if their is NO incentive from the dealer.

I tried to get them to throw in some oil changes or even a free pen! All I got was a free brochure!

I got mines at Costa Mesa Infiniti, and not a penny less than MSRP. I checked out Cerritos and they had a long waiting list. I was on it till I gave up and went to Costa Mesa.

Re: Below MSRP?

I got my G coupe at Tustin Infiniti. I don't need to wait long to get it. Only searching and making phone call for 3 days and I got what I want: Ivory pearl, Pre. packages. Someone was not qualify for a loan and the sales man called me. I picked my G up at 9:00 am Sat and pay full price plus $695 for the spoiler.(38K)

Re: Below MSRP?

I sat down and offered $36,500 for loaded 6MT. (MSRP $37,500) The dealer said they can't do that so I walked out. The line they threw at me was "You know, this car is really underpriced for the car. This car should really cost around $40,000. So you are getting a deal with #37,500." They could have sold the car but I guess they wanted that extra $1000 really bad. Oh well, I'll wait a little longer and get it under MSRP.
