Good morning Gdrivers,
Bad days only get better, right? Hope so. I have an '03 G35 Cpe with around 140k on it. It's a solid ride and has been well taken care of. Just have this one issue....
So, I left my keys in the ignition on Sunday (1/20). I jumped the battery and afterwards my car has become demonic! lol!!
First, my dome and head-visor mirror lights wouldn't work. I looked through the fuses and fusible links, and they all looked fine and dandy. So, I unhooked the BOTH battery cables (after doing some reading on here), waited 15 minutes, and hooked them back to the battery.
This fixed the dome/head-visor lights! But, now my speedometer and the rest of my gauges won't light up, or work. Kind of hard to see how fast I'm screaming down the road (even though I can usually tell by the sound
when you cant see your speed, lol!
From my reading, could my dead battery have caused the BCM to go bad? All fuses and fusible links are solid!. Battery is about 2 years old. Should I have only unhooked the negative battery cable, instead of both?
What's the next step in fixing this issue and is it something I can handle on my own? Should I try to reset the battery again, nkly disconnecting the negative battery cable? Thanks in advance, guys!
