Coupe Exhaust Delete.

Hey guys before I start, I have no problem with the mods moving this thread to the proper place since I'm new to driver.
Well anyway I got the g as a first car( no daddy and mommy didn't buy it for me, some family members passed and I got this car as something to remember them by, I would much rather have the family than a car, better yet both, but I guess you can't have everything) Now back to the happy stuff, I loved the stock exhaust sound but I have always loved an exhaust that turns heads. Since I didn't have a grand to drop on a hks exhaust I heard a coupe with the exhaust delete on YouTube and fell in love. I went to my local Lou's exhaust in nh and had them remove the rear muffler and put in stainless steel 3" piping going into the stock tips. Here's a video of the exhaust and yes I drove my car around before I took the video so my engine was warm. So far I love the sound and have got a dozen comments on how good it sounds. Surprisingly it doesn't drone that much either.

try taking out the resonator, then it'll sound monstrous. Not that it doesn't anyway.

I was thinking of trying that but I haven't heard any other g with it removed. I wanted to make an electric valve to go around or through the resonated depending on the position of the valve. But thanks a lot! I appreciate the feedback!

here's mine, videos don't suffice, but all I can tell you is it sounds unreal lol.

Everyone says it doesn't sound too good in the video but they're like wtf when they hear it in person cause it sounds so much better lol.

Wow that does sound good for a video, what was done? Just the resonater and exhaust removed? Is it much louder than only removing the rear muffler?

I think it's a lot louder, but I'm not exactly sure since I removed both at the same time. It's 3" piping from the cut to the Y pipe, which is 2 1/2" with the stock tips welded back on.

yeah just resonator and muffler.

from that point its all straight pipe.

It's really, really loud though. I've revd it near some girls walking and they always scream... one time I just tapped the gas going like 1 mph and they screamed lol... it's hilarious.

Good thing you live in Oklahoma, that noise wouldn't get it around people! (aka town folk)

I tried that and the drone on the freeway was unbearable. Personally it wasn't for me. But as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

I think "turning heads" isn't exactly what you think it is

Exhaust should be proportional to the power produced at the very least.

Dont take the resonator out. Just buy TPs, HFCs or ART pipes and a Y pipe and call it good.
