Update**** sent to the welding shop to cover hole in the top!!! My initial understanding of the tank is that it hooks up to the plenum from the side... the top opening is the breather opening... I seen people route a tube to the ground from the tank so oil smell does not go in cabin... any input is muchly appreciated!!! Thanx!!

Looks like you got the wrong catch can for our VQ motors, we don't have/use breathers. One line comes from the plenum the other goes to the top of your valve cover left side facing your motor.

Thats what I was thinking but it is for the 350z vq35de just wondering if it can be modified to include a return line??
If not will sell on my350z forums for cheap atleast the gaudy hole will be covered and a fresh decal and polish should return my funds!!

I though you could hook the larger line on the other side of the plenum running to the g/z tube into the can as well and block the hole in the g/z tube? Isn't that how the g35 arc can runs?

Hello Nightmare....=o(

What you have is so far off what you need the only smart solution is to buy the correct catch can and sell what you have. Google "Catch Cans" you can see both the inlet/outlet are on top and that's removeable so it can be emptied. I'm running a C6 Vette catch can and it works great....Gary

Glad this is your nightmare, not mine!

I just did a 20 minute search, no one makes a vented catch can for our VQ motors including ARC! Where did you buy this from, is it possible they sent you the wrong can?You need find out from where you purchased this can from why they sent you the wrong one....Gary

From what I remember it was designed to be FI compatible, that big port is the is where you would run extra lines.
