Okay so here's what happened, I was driving along on the highway pretty fast not as fast as I'd usually go was just having a bit of fun and all of a sudden I come off into an exit and my check engine light flashes on and my accelator stops working, I pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the car and the accelator was working jus fine again but the check engine light was still on and I did check all my fluids and everything is fine but I'm still wondering what could of caused my accelator to go bad? I'm affraid it could happen again.

 

Throtle sensor or cam sensor may be bad. Take it to Auto Zone and get a free code print out.

 

How bad could it be? Price wise and car survival wise?

 

Sounds like the begining of a throttle body failure or the pedal sensor.
