Can you Paint the Stock Plenum???

Can you paint the stock engine upper plenum? If I use the Dupli-Coat high temp spray paint (1200 degrees)?

Is this safe to do or will it chip?

Thanks.

my guess is that it will chip and look ugly really fast. High temp paints are a joke a lot of times dealing with durability issues. Or if it its not durability it will be looks.

My guess would be yes. Your intake doesn't really get that hot, only hot by the parts around it (not like a manifold). I've actually had fine luck w/ the high temp paints. I've painted my Calipers which get a WHOLE LOT hotter than your intake ever will about 2 years ago and they look brand new.

Note: it's all in the prep work, paint, any paint will chip away if you don't clean, sand, etc. the surface properly first.
