Talking

I just bought mine and was planning on using it as a daily driver. My commute is 80miles round trip per day. Now that I have the car, I want to keep it perfect and looking new for a long time. So, I have now decided to keep one of my cars to use as a daily driver or I will drive my bike in sometimes. I am just so in love with the car I can't stand to get it dirty. By the way this is not because I have tons of money to throw around. I just want to drive the beater car everyday and the G on Special days. You will see once you get it!

If I buy the car I plan on enjoying it, but it sounds a lot like this car is to be seen and not driven. I love the car, but why do so many people baby it instead of driving it? I mean cars were meant to be driven, right?
I don't baby my G Coupe when I drive it, but I don't beat the crap out of it either. I also have a '91 300ZX which is my drive to work and errands car. The hatchback is great for groceries, etc. Since it is paid off and runs great and I have quite a bit of money put into it, there was no reason to sell it or trade it in when I got the new G. The Z is easier to drive around town, as it is easier to park and steers quick with the short wheelbase it has. The G is for roadtrips and fun driving, in my case. I'm not rich or anything, it's just that why get rid of a paid off car that runs fantastic for very little money. If the Z gets a dent at the grocery store, that's OK since it is 14 years old. I just didn't see any reason to get rid of the Z when I got the G a few months ago. It's paid off and is a great car. The G is vastly superior for longer trips- much more luxurious, comfortable and safer than the Z, and the G eats up the interstates with ease. I see a lot of G's used as daily drivers here where I live (Jacksonville area). It would make a great daily driver, of course.

Since it's my only car, I drive it everyday. Got about 15k miles since April 04. Such a fun car to drive, why would you want to put it in the garage.

Talking Sweeeeet!

SWEEETNESS!! It's awesome to see that so many of you drive the car as a daily driver. I guess I understand the people who say they want to keep it clean and cant' stand to see it dirty, but if my car is too beautiful for me to drive then honestly I'd rather buy something else. If I wanted to look at the car I could just go to the dealership. Hopefully I'll be joining the rest of you Coupe drivers out on the road soon! Until then KEEP DRIVING!

My Coupe is a daily driver....can't justify 2 rides.
I baby her as much as anyone. She's a real sweetheart and so loveable, but just for kicks, she loves a good wuppin' once in a while---It's in her veins..........

Most people baby their coupes, but also use them as a daily driver. Since i'm a college student and school is in the inner city, i'm just kinda scared of someone hurting my baby, so i drive my 94 accord to school most of the time. But outside of school, i'm in the coupe.

And when you say baby, I baby her by cleaning her weekly and puttin her in the garage when i'm done.

It would be a different story if I lived in a warm climate like Florida (turbomaxima) where there is no snow, cinders, flat, etc. I would slam it into the dirt and prolly drive it alot more.

I guess I shouldn't participate but I bought my 05 the 20th of December and It still only has 350ish miles on it... It's just such a nice car I don't wanna take it out unless it's a nice day and I plan on going for a drive or a car show etc etc. I'll tell you what though i'm going to drive probably 700 miles in the next month because I have a natural lead foot and breakin is KILLING ME, LOL!
