Question Why Do So Many Baby their Coupes?

Okay I'm getting ready to buy my G35, but it sounds like a lot of people buy the coupe as a second car and leave it sitting while they drive some other car around. Does anyone here drive their G35 Coupe as a daily driver all day everyday? Has anyone here put a lot of miles on their G35? I mean I don't plan on buying a garage queen. If I buy the car I plan on enjoying it, but it sounds a lot like this car is to be seen and not driven. I love the car, but why do so many people baby it instead of driving it? I mean cars were meant to be driven, right?

Basically because they can afford to do such. If I had a daily driver, I wouldnt take the G to work every day either, yet just use it on the weekends or when going out, or even on trips that dont exceed 1000 miles round trip.

I however will be using mine as my daily driver since it will be my only car.

Mine is not a coupe. But my 2003 Sedan is a daily driver. I have 53k miles on
it now. I keep it maintained according to the schedule. No babying this beauty!
It does get kept in the garage and get regular oil changes and premium gas,
so I guess you caould say I do baby it! lol

I think it really depends on your personal situation? I have a 120 mile commute, so do the math? If I just drove it to work and nothing else, I would accumulate about 29K miles a year, add in some fun driving and I am doing about 40K a year which means I need to buy a new car every year or so!

I switch between three vehicles and that REALLY helps keep the mileage low and I drive the G the least to work. I ride the motorctycle mostly, if weather is nasty I drive the BMW, but I usually drive the G on Fridays.

I to, drive mine every day, I drove it home from Work last Saturday during a Blizzard...
It ran fine.. I have 4 Blizzaks which help me ge thru the snowy stuff.
It was -2 degrees last night and it took a few minutes for the CD player to warm up a bit
other than that, its a GREAT daily driver.. Since the end of October I have A little over 7,500 mile....

Im not taking my G into snow and road salt, if that's what you're asking.
I own 3 cars and leasing a beater....why take out the G when not necessary?

I plan on driving the G most of the time. One of the reasons why I bought it was that is was more practical than my C5 vette for an everyday driver. My commute lately has been on the train so its not getting much use anyways!

I drove mine til it snowed now the roads are covered with salt, cinders, brine, etc. The G is our third car so I usually don't drive it during the week even in the summer cause round trip to my job is 60 miles and the parking lot is not paved. There is something about coming out to go somewhere and it is raining and the G is nice and clean and ready for the next nice day. I'm a fanatic I know but it is tough trying to keep a car nice living in the NorthEast and trying to avoid all the losers that want to key your car or slam their doors into you or run into you and take off. That is what our Honda's are for!

Mine is my daily driver. I have 23K on it. I bought it in June 03. When it snows my car sits still and we use the SUV exclusively. I work just 9 miles away though so I don't put a lot of comute miles on it.

Yeah, I buy my cars to drive, not sit idle. But I still baby every car I have, because I like to. So in addition to driving 80+ miles per day to commute to/from work, all my cars have microfiber towels in trunk, bottle of detail spray, and bottle of NXT Spray wax. And about twice a month, I spend an entire saturday washing, waxing, claying, detailing, etc my cars.
