So any help? Hopefully you guys understand what I'm saying lol thanks
jus purchase some hid bulbs from our vendor here, Diode Dynamics

Since you have the reflector type headlights, you will need "D2R" bulbs, if your car came with factory HID lights (I think most did).

H1 bulbs are a regular halogen bulb, but I think they sell HID retrofit kits with that style.

If your car came with HIDs, you will need a D2R style bulb. The R indicates that the bulbs are for a reflector style housing vs. D2S which is for a Projector style housing.

There is a difference and some companies won't distinguish the two and sell them as the same thing...so be careful!

Now is a good time to buy as we are running a Labor Day Sale!

The "C" models don't have the shield/reflector built into the bulb, so it would be a bad idea to use in a reflector type housing. I don't even know why they make the 'C' bulb since they're really not universal.

i wans't sure how to post this question in search, so i'll ask here.

i recently bought a 6mt coupe 06. this is my first car with a manual so i am not sure if this applies to all or only to mine. Everytime i change gears it seems that the shifter stops midway from neutral to the gear and needs a little more push to go all the way into the gear.

Also related, everytime I change gears it seems very loud when i engage. sounds like metal hits metal, not necessarily metal rubbing on metal.

And one more. everytime i turn the car off and not pressing on the clutch, its making clanking noises up until me motor stops, 1-2 sec max. no sounds when the pedal is engaged and turning the motor off however.

if anybody can point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks

Yes. My car comes with the philps d2r...something like that but one bulb went out, so I decided I want to buy aftermarket hids the complete kit not just the bulb. But I'm wondering if the "H1" HID will fit the upper headlight socket. Since eBay has all kinds of bulb type H1,H9, H5 etc...I'm not 100% sure with bulb to buy.

I question the importance of that shield. but ive used d2c bulbs when I had reflectors not by choice that's wat the ebay seller gave me even though I thought I was getting d2r specifically. was fine to me. wasn't blinding Ive checked

C could stand for compact, but that's not a real D-series bulb or bulb type. The H3 bulbs are offered in an H3c because they typically fit in small housings and sometimes there isn't enough clearance for a full length bulb.

You 100% need a D2R (the R indicates its for a reflector style housing). If the seller didn't specify, you probably don't want to install those bulbs FWIW

D2S, is for a projector style housing

There is a difference and it will have an impact on the performance

You don't need a kit, just buy the bulbs. Buy D2R bulbs to replace what went out, it's that simple. Cheap aftermarket kits are totally unnecessary and H1, H3, etc simply won't fit into a D2R socket. They do sell aftermarket D2R bulbs if you really want some ricer purple HIDs.

Basically a D2C is a D2S bulb with an extra notch to allow it to physically fit into both D2S/D2R housings. Saves vendors money on inventory, but is no good for the reflector guys.

Im not sayingthis to be foul or anything, but dont be a *****. Push it gear, your not going to hurt it

Maybe, but it sounds like nothing, but maybe post a clip of your noise in the engine section. It could be several hundred different issues. Its like saying "im sick" and you expecting the doctor to diagnose, solve, and educate you on how for it not to happen again over the phone

You have a dual mass flywheel that wears over time along with a sprung hub clutch disc. Im assuming if your hearing that noise you have 60/70K miles on your car at least and like Tracy Lords vag.....aint so tight anymore. Hold the clutch in when you turn off the car and you wont hear the noise, but its not hurting anything.

OEM front bumper and right fender?

As i said in my other post (sorry for spam?) my car was hit last week and now that my body shop gave me $1300 that they got me from the insurance. i don't know where to buy a oem bumper and fender. I also need new headlights but don't want oem.

My local body shop called some local spot here in NYC and they told him $150 for a fender and $175 for a front bumper. Seems like a great deal but are they fake? He says the dealership will sell me them for like $600 each. I have a Diamond graphite 2003 coupe
My headlights are good btw but they're just extremely yellow, and the right one has a small crack now too

Jaden, your body shop probably called the local Infiniti/Nissan wrecking yard for these parts. Why not ask them if those are OE parts or aftermarket? Headlights, I recently saw a set of '06 projectors for sale on our Marketplace. That is the best upgrade you can make for your first gen Infiniti and they're a plug & play needing no modifications!
