I dont think its fair to call him out because he used a movie reference about some guy whos car gets stolen. I'm sure he was just making light of the terrible situation.

**** happens.. of course I'm pissed. But getting all worked up about it doesn't help the situation. When my car was stolen it was parked in a PACKED parking lot in Secacaus, NJ. Cop wasn't much help. I kno it only happened a few hours ago, but I'm already starting to research G35Coupe leases again. Problem is i have nothing to put down.

Secacaus, NJ......wow, the tri-state area really is the worst ever. I hate NY and NJ

Well I know how you feel, except your entire car was gone, my last car was utterly destroyed in a parking garage. Walking out of dinner and having no car is bad, but being woken up at 5am by a phone call saying your car has been broken into in a "secure" parking garage has about the same affect.

I just hope your insurance takes care of you; I hated paying such high rates, but now I am glad because in the end everything worked out for me. Best of luck to you and I would definitely see if there were security cameras in any of the parking lots. Anything at this point could be helpful.

wow....that sounds pretty scary then. i wonder how did the thieves bypass the vehicle immobilizer chip? could there been a mistake at the bank and the car was repo'ed by accident. i remember reading about that happening to one of our fellow members.

no, it wasn't accidentally repoed. It's gone, i don't know how but i hope they find it. To answer all you guys, YES i do have insurance, but in my current financial situation in can't afford to shell out 425 a month and i have no down payment anymore.

"in my current financial situation in can't afford to shell out 425 a month and i have no down payment anymore"

was the car totally paid off? if not, weren't you already making payments then? as far as a down payment, that's not always necessary. i just got financing on my coupe and did not want to put any money down except for the $1000 deposit that i paid when i first put in the order. and it wasn't a problem with bank or dealer.

honestly here, have you been making your payments or were you a bit late? i'm only asking because everyone here is trying to figure out the situation. and the thought of someone bypassing the car's security is puzzling.

yeah, but what I'm saying is that now that i'm free from that lease i want to get something a little less expensive. Like something upto or around 375 a month. I was thinking of getting a Z.

You won't be able to lease a Z for $375/month unless you put a lot down.......they may be cheaper but they have less of a residual, which equals to higher payments

Sorry to hear about your loss! Keep us up to date with any new news.

I'm just guessing, but you were leasing right?
Try www.swapalease.com, not sure if you'll find anything as cheap as $375, but worth a look.
