This thread is about a year old, i'm the one that resurrected it instead of making a new one to see if any of the people here have either found or fixed the problem. The op is probably long gone.

I have this same exact problem. 05 6MT Sedan with 47000 miles. Anyone able to figure out what it was?

Jack up the car, get under it and start banging on ****. I would start with the heat shields.

Yes, put oil in your car ASAP. Check your oil level first.

I have this problem too, with my 6MT 05 Sedan, I just changed the oil and its still doing it. I get the rattle at about 2100-2900rpm. Thinking maybe the flywheel or my clutch(its pretty shot, slips) sounds like a rattle not a clanking. Doesn't do it at idle either.

Heres a short clip of the noise.

Just to update anyone that may come across this thread, For me it turned out to be timing chain was loose on the exhaust side in my Revup making the rattle noise.

Anyone out there still having this issue? 05 6mt coupe with 90k miles. Makes the same noise as the video^ but mostly when letting off the gas around 3k Rpm or so.. No noise at idle, and I too thought it was maybe a clutch chatter noise. I have a jwt setup going in the week to fix my slipping clutch (unrelated I think) but I want to get this noise figured out before I start contaminating it with other noises.

Noise after oil change?

This noise has persisted even after an oil change for me. Its sorta always been there after I've been out driving the car for so long.

Silver Coupe AT
Hey there! First time posting. Recently got a rattle from my 03 g35 coupe AT and I was looking everywhere for an answer to fix it! Finally decided to lift the car up and found a bracket was broken. Don't know how it ended up braking. I think the part is 20030B (uploaded images) If you tried your heatshields and other suggestions but still rattles try looking for this part. Maybe it helps someone. If anyone knows this part please let me know. Thank you.
