Question for the guys with coilovers and 19's
I've been looking around at wheels a lot lately and am ready to pull the trigger on a set once I get this squared away. This is for all of the guys out there who are dropped with coilovers and are running 19" wheels. What offsets are you running?
I did a lot of looking at the setups on Rimtuck.com and there are a TON of Gcoupes with 19's that are staggered 9.5/10.5 with anywhere between 10-25F/10-25R for offsets. some more some less. They look like they have near perfect fitment, but today I went to Discount tire to talk to them about ordering wheels and they said that In order to run 9.5/10.5 I would need offsets in the 30s and 40s to because of fender clearance and the Brembos. I find that a little hard to believe.
SO are they just trying to cover their *** and play it safe? or will I really have to be getting that high of an offset? seems way to high...
For reference I have HKS hipermax RS coils and with the stock 18s and 40 series tires There is zero fender to tire gap. I have maybe 1/4" of tire tucked into the fender?
I want 9.5/10.5 19's so what offset will 100% fit if Im trying to get the face of the wheel as close to flush as possible without major rubbing issues. for reference I have been looking at Vossen's cv3 and cv7 wheels. I know they dont offer the 9.5/10.5 setup but just looking at wheels LIKE them. I was thinking offsets around 15-20? no? I dont know....
What offset are you guys running?
For what its worth, can this not get moved to the general wheel/tire question thread? Im trying to order up wheels by the end of the weekend and In somewhat of a hurry to get this figured out. Thanks in advance

Are you looking for a flush setup as in stretching tires and camber? Or are you looking to keep those both in oem spec?
If oem spec I'm running planning on switching my setup of 19x9.5/10.5 +12 to 255/35 fronts and 285/35 rears and with my rear fenders rolled I fully expect to be in stock spec. For reference my lowest point of clearance for my car is roughly around 3.5-4" (wanted to be able to clear speed bumps this time).
In the past I was pretty slammed running 235/35 front and 255/35 rears with +12 with the addition of a 15mm spacer in the rear and probably could've used a 10 or 15mm spacer in the front with absolutely no issues besides not being able to drive to a lot of places haha.
If I were to do it all again, I would probably have got my wheels in +0 offset, but +12 is a safe bet.

im trying to get pretty flush with them, but not #hellaflush # -10 degree camber flush. I still want around town driveability and I dont mind some negative camber but I dont want to be flipping tires every month to keep the wear even. It is my daily driver afterall. I would like to keep it within factory spec give or take a degree or two. The lowest point on my car is probably ~3.5" from the ground. not slammed but it does tuck the tops of the tires about 1/4-1/2 inch. with the 19's I would be comfortable downsizing to a 35 series tire with a minor stretch but nothing ridiculous.

10.5+12 with a 275 will be flush, but factory specs is questionable even with rolled fenders. I'd go +15 or +20, if you still want more add a 5-10mm spacer. I ran 10.5 +12 with a 275 and rear camber was -2.5.
If you want a mild stretch, go with 10.5+0 or -5 and 255 tire.
If you want crazy, go 10.5 -20 and 225 tire with -4 camber.

Hmm your lowest clearance seems to be similar to mine, but I'm not tucking tire with my setup so you might be lower. If that's the case, ya 275 may not fit completely without some camber. Your call on going with that, rolled fenders, and some camber or downing to 255 with less camber. I personally am sizing back up to give a bit more comfort to the ride and traction.

Ehhh it's hit or miss. There is a faint knocking in the rear but it comes and goes. But I kinda just chalk it up to the fact that I have them adjusted very stiff and also bought them lightly used

tirerack and almost every one of those places specs are way off, they only go by what a computer tells them and are often very very wrong.
I have 19x9.5 15 front 19x11 20 rear 255/35 front 295/35 rears with megan racing coils only dropped about 60% of its potential.
Its a number of factors at play here,so there is no RIGHT answer persay. The wheel, the offset are just the start, the hub bore of the wheel, the lip size, etc etc all are factors as well, and how low you drop it will change things, you better get a good set of front and rear camber and toe kits to be safe, then you can change how far the tires lean in or out and control your traction,Kinetix make awesome kits with everything you need for lik 500$,yes you can get a cheap ebay set for half that, but do you really trust your life and others lives riding at 80mph on cheap materials?
Like amatureRN said, its always better to go a little less aggressive and then get some spacers if needed,if you go TO aggressive you will end up looking like a crappy ricer with your wheels protruding, or even worse you will not be able to fit them at all even with rolled fenders.
i have a set of 19x9.5 with 25 mm offset and they fit more flush than my current setup, again its all in how the wheel is made and the drop you run, tire size etc etc. I only took them off because when i upgraded my turbos to over 600hp i wanted/needed fatter rears :-)

Yea I kind of figured the shop was just bullshitting me to cover their ***'s. I'm not going for a lip, will be getting something with a concave face and no lip. Never was a fan of huge lips on wheels. I know "approximately" what offset I need I'm just lookin for input from the guys that have experience with large wheels on the G. I already have spacers and I'm really trying to avoid using ten again. I would rather just get a set of proper fitting wheels that dot need any adjustment in that regard.
