Nope I work in the finance field not in baby seats. I just research heavily on all the products that I spend my hard earned money on. I got the car seat from kohls using price match, along with 30% off and kohls cashback. I am pretty sure I got a steal on the chair but I bought it for its benefits and footprint.

Edit: Just to make it clear on my association. Before I got the Diono when my child was an infant. I picked up the Britax Chaperone stroller / infant car seat combo. That was a blessing to be able to keep your infant strapped in and asleep. Then you can just snap the basket into the base and be on your way. I picked up 2 radians after my child turned 1 and started using that in a rear facing setup. Once he got older I flipped the seat forward and he really enjoyed that. I have both cars seats setup in the middle using latch system. I have a 6mt sedan and that was one of the reasons I got it was the ease of securing your child in their car seat. I have messed around with kid car seats in a coupe and do not want to go back to that.

haha...Canadians.....funny peoples eh?

Don't buy a car seat. Use the money towards a deposit on a new condo on the beach in South Florida, ditch everyone you know including the newborn and rock that dope a$$ G35 on A1A.

We are now moving up to booster seats. I wanted to get one with LATCH, since that way the booster is tethered in whether or not the seat belt is fastened around it. But I have found that the G35 LATCH and seat belt buckle are basically in the same spot. So, if I attach the LATCH, the seat belt is basically impossible to buckle. I'm considering just using LATCH on the non-buckle-side bar, but I'm a little concerned that this isn't how they were designed / safety tested.

Has anyone else had this problem, or perhaps managed to resolve it?

If not, and you're reading this before buying a booster seat, my advice would be to select one that doesn't have the LATCH system. I think I'll move my Britax Parkway SGL into my wife's Tucson and get a Britax Parkway SG (though even then, the rear buckles are very difficult for a kid to access around a kind of big booster).
