How long do you wait for the car to warm up
I floor it the second I start it and drift out of the driveway.
Actually I usually wait 2-3 minutes, maybe 5-6 if its below 35. If it is cold enough that it is snowing outside, I start the car, let it run for about 10 minutes, then shut it off, go inside and proceed to not drive anywhere.

when it snows in Southern VA everyone seems mesmerized by the concept of little white flakes falling from the sky and they proceed to crash into everything and everyone. No point in risking it in that mess. also, the sand on the roads makes my car too dirty for me to stand.
Just let it idle long enough to melt the ice off of the windshield, and for me to wipe any snow off of the car. I could probably let the snow sit on top of the car, but i don't know what, if any, damage letting freezing water sit directly on top of the sunroof will do, but I don't really want to take the risk and find out.
