How long do you wait for the car to warm up

This may seem like a stupid question but how long do you wait for your car to warm up in the morning (summer time). Do you have to wait at all or is there a set time to wait for the oil to warm up and lubricate?

I generally don't wait in the warm months...I assume you should wait at least til the temp gauge starts to climb

So about 20 seconds or so? Not trying to blow a piston at 125,000 miles

Search around, there are already threads on this. Basically you only have to wait a few seconds, not like older cars.

I just start it and go. Living in Texas there's no need to wait and my temp gauge hits normal operating temperature in less than a minute in the warmer months here.

I wait about a minute or two when it's warm... winter time I'd wait a little longer.

Man I feel bad for my car. Compair to most of you. I started and go. But now after this new project on my car I wait 30seconds.
