07 Coupe Overheating. Cooling Fan Temps

I remember getting a notice from Infiniti corporate that the warranty for the radiator fans was bring extended to 96/100k. Bet yours failed for the same reason that prompted the extension. They should take care of you as this warranty extension was voluntarily taken by Infiniti to avoid having to do a recall.

So, Infiniti Customer Service says they will not cover my dead fan. My guess is that since I declined to have the dealer repair the fan when they discovered it and commented that I would take care of it myself, they figure I'm not a good candidate for lots of future service work, so why spend the money covering an out of warranty repair.
Bottom line, if your car is still within 96 months/100,000 miles (whichever comes first . . .) of its inservice date, turn your AC on full blast and watch those fans. If they don't both spin, find a dealer.

That's terrible.

So I got it to Charles Barker Infiniti this morning and they said it was, in fact, my cooling fan motor. They also recommended I have them replace the Thermostat & Gasket. I don't really think the thermostat was getting ready to fail, but since I know my engine temps had gone to the high side of 240 at one point, It would be better to take the safe route and replace it.
The cooling fan replacement will be completely covered under the extended warranty, I'll let you know how much it would have cost without the warranty if I can. The thermostat and gasket replacement cost a little less than $300, so I figure what the heck, go ahead and replace it.
$300 seemed kinda high though, and I could have probably replaced the thermostat myself.

They replaced both the cooling fan motors with three-speed motors that operate simultaneously. They also replaced the shroud. The extended warranty covered what would have been $700 worth of work. And they reduced the price for the thermostat replacement to just over $200. It took about 3 hours overall to get everything completed.
It seems to have fixed the overheating issue. I'll do a full run tomorrow with the OBD-2 scanner and provide a temp list like I did before, and see if the average engine running temp has decreased.

The new shroud looks to be the same design as the old one, however, so perhaps it was just easier to replace the shroud and both fans at the same time.
They didn't charge me for the shroud, and they didn't mention that they replaced it. It's possible they would have replaced the shroud even if it wasn't broken. I don't know.

New Cooling Fans, New Temps.
Okay I did a run today and recorded temps while sitting in park, at idle. I turned on the AC and started recording temps immediately after I came to a stop, so that is why the initial engine temp is so high.
Temp------A/C----Driver Side Fan----Passenger Side Fan
210 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
195 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH---------- (it took about 10 seconds to drop from 210 to 195 with both fans on high)
192 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
190 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
190 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
190 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
190 F----FULL---------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
------------------I TURNED OFF THE AC------------------------
190 F----OFF----------HIGH-----------------------HIGH----------
190 F----OFF----------MID-------------------------MID------------
190 F----OFF----------LOW------------------------LOW----------
190 F----OFF----------OFF-------------------------OFF-----------(This took about three seconds to go from high to mid to low (to off) fan speeds)
194 F----OFF----------OFF-------------------------OFF-----------
197 F----OFF----------OFF-------------------------OFF-----------
201 F----OFF----------OFF-------------------------OFF-----------
208 F----OFF----------LOW------------------------LOW----------
204 F----OFF----------LOW------------------------LOW----------
203 F----OFF----------LOW------------------------LOW----------
201 F----OFF----------OFF-------------------------OFF-----------
I'd say my overheating problem has been fixed
