Get coils or new shocks and springs?

So I am at 125,000 miles now and debating what suspension work to do. I am planning to lower my car, but not insanely low. So should I just swap for coilovers or change the shocks and springs? BC Coilovers are about $1000. How much are shocks (OEM)? And should I change the struts out now too?

Just Google search G35 OEM shocks. Or hit up the marketplace, all your questions and concerns answered.

Shocks or struts are the same thing on our cars...If you want to lower and upgrade shocks..Go with Eibach Pro-kit(g35 version)..1 inch drop and pair them with some Tokico hp blues (350z) version...Will run you about $600...And recommended to get an Spc rear camber kit..Front one isn't needed...

Personally, I would just go coilover. A half decent spring and strut combination is going to run you ~$800, so you might as well spend a couple extra hundred for coilovers. The ride quality is better, the height is adjustable instead of a fixed position. (in case you dont like how it sits), and pretty much any coilovers now a days will adjustable dampening as well as pillow mounts.

For an extra 2 or 3 hundred dollars you get quite a lot of bang for your buck.

Ride quality many times won't be as good, most of the coil options around 1k have terrible dampeners and often super high spring rates. At that price range the only thing you get vs spring/strut setup is height adjustment, but you lose out on handling.

Yeah, you can get Tein Basics for like 860, Tanabe Sustec Pro for 891...just some prices I found real quick. Could probably do better than that with a little internet research

My vote goes to tokico HP Blue shocks and struts - these are essentially OEM shocks and struts with a slight performance improvement. Don't forget to replace the gaskets and rubber boots for the rear shocks and the rubber inserts/mounts/boots for the struts.
