Carbon Deposit Cleaner

Hello all,

I was in a pro auto parts store in Windsor, Ont. Canada to purchase some bosch platinum 4 spark plugs for my 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe and a mechanic told me I would be wasting my money and should stick to OEM plugs, about $20 per plug. He also told me an alternative right now since the car only has about 100,000 km is to use 946ml of Methyl Hydrate with a full tank of gas. Once every 6 months should clean out carbon deposits on the spark plugs along with carbon build up on the valves. Has anyone tried this before? Does this actually work? Ever since I bought the car I only use premium 91 octane. Just want to make sure this stuff works with premium gas and won't hurt the engine or its components.

Don't get the plus 4, get NGK iridium plugs, and lucas fuel treatment should be gfine as well.

lol at the price of the plugs, you can get the plugs mentioned ^^ on eBay for around $40 shipped for all 6. Here's just one example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121045967241...84.m1423.l2649

Guys, thanks for the tip on the spark plugs, I will purchase, but I am really curious about the Methyl Hydrate, would a mild dosage, 500ml to a full tank of gas be ok for the G35?

I found a great product to use for carbon buildup on G35 engines that really works well. Dura Lube Advanced Fuel System Treatment with a full tank of premium gas and I have noticed greater engine performance with the next tank of gas especially on the higher RPM band.....

Lucas Oil - & Seafoam products = best options!

I use the Lucas gas treatment every 6 months & when CA Smog comes up every 2 years I run a can of Seafoam before going to do the smog...
