2007 G coupe and whenever I have the AC on, my car gets pretty loud from the outside. Like a giant fan sound.

Is this normal? I haven't really heard it much in other cars.

Its normal to hear the fan running, it will speed up at times & sound louder.

My fan runs like crazy even when my AC isn't on lol. But it's normal, if it's really hot outside and you're stopped or driving slowly the fan will kick in to draw out the excess heat.

Under the hood the G might be the loudest car I've ever driven and that's without FI in the mix.

It's normal. Okay, maybe not normal. But it is definitely nothing you need to worry about.

Totally not true..... unless the check engine or SES light is on there's nothing abnormal about loud fans... haven't you ever driven a car and heard your fan trying to keep the car temp cool?

My engine revs and whirss like a dumptruck when my ac is on. Maybe I have the serious issue.

Mine shifts rough as hell when it's on

when it's hot and A/C is on.. my car sounds like a boeing 747

from teh cabin or outside? From the cabin it sounds as if the fans are reflecting the engine sound, causing alot of roaring to be heard in the cabin.

Theres quite a bit of noise from the engine compartment with or without the AC on. I fixed this issue with a louder exhaust.
