Window motor fitment

Hey guys, I need a new window motor for drivers side. I called the dealer and they asked for the vin#. They want $379. Does it make any difference by the vin# ? As long as its for a 03-07 G35 coupe it should fit and work properly right? I'm going to order it off EBAY. Looks like they have some re-manufactured ones for $115 but I'm thinking to go with the OEM for $199..Would appreciate any helpful comments or opinions, thanks.

Dealers always ask for the vin # and yes they fit those years.

I think they get programmed to do that. A franchise here in Washington St. called Gregs Japanese Auto wants $462 out the door for the job. I see why people are doing it themselves.
I'm going to tackle it my self, I just want to get the right part.

They kind of have to since there's so many minor differences between the years when it comes to parts. I had to give my vin when I ordered a new fender liner since there's 3 different versions apparently.
