Help with a new 05 6MT

I just picked up my 05' 6MT, sad to see my SC S2000 go but time to move on... Anyway I need help on options for changing the shift ****. Who do you all recomend for parts and what are my options on counter sunk titanium shifters? Also who has the best deal on clear side markers, and what is the best exhaust for HP gain (if there are any for an 05).

I too just moved on from an S2000 to an 05 6MT coupe.

Do you miss your S2K? I've yet to really miss the car.

I miss it everytime I get in the G. Luckily, the S is still in the driveway (20 days and counting until she leaves me for good) so I just jump out if the G and take my baby for a spin. But seriously yes I Like the S much better. I know the G is nicer inside and "more luxurious" but the tight feel of the S and 9000 redline seems to make me not care about luxury. Also it is hard for me to get used to driving something so big. Luckily, I am on a waiting list for an Elise so the G can become my tame weekday driving car.

Just out of curiosity, why you are selling the S2K if you love it most? I hear that the Elise is absolutely impossible to live with except on a racetrack. Spartan (read 'bare') interior, punishing suspension and absolutely no amenities.

I have a new found respect for Lotus automobiles after viewing their site. Those cars are some damn good performers. The elise is nice, but if I could afford a esprit, my life would be near complete heh.

True. I miss the raw feeling the S2K has, but I got tired of that after using the car as my daily driver for a year. Driving 120 miles a day is quite common for my business and the S2K was making it quite a chore. I miss the steering feedback, high redline, and go-kart like feel of the S. But the G is much more luxurious, "torque-y" (if that's a word), and quite fun to drive as well.

Apples and Oranges I know, but I love both.

My lease was up and the finance company was not willing to negotiate on the residual value so...buh bye S.

Torque??? Whats that??? 3 years with an S as an only car and I forgot what that is.

My daily drive is about 4 miles and that includes the gym so that was never much of an issue but I can certaintly see your point. Well I am sure the G will be more fun once the break-in period is over...which for me should be close to 3 months.

Clear corners will be in stock in a few days....

Nissan Motorsports makes a titanium shiftknob that fits well, it's been pretty popular and everyone seems to like it, at least the people who I've spoke with about it.
There are a few others available, more race/ergonomic style, but they're not titanium.

Stillen and Borla both make very good power on mild-moderately modded cars. Stillen's piping is 0.25" larger though, so on a heavily modded/boosted car it should make more power.
