No Sunroof Question

Hey gang,

My new to me '06 Coupe (bought from the original owner) was ordered without a sunroof. (He was like 7'1" or something and needed the extra head room he said) Anyhow...the sunglasses compartment is a bit broken...Does anyone know if a standard sunroof equipped replacement unit (it seems to be available as one part only direct from Infiniti) will fit? Maybe one of the Inifiniti dealers on here could help me shed some light on this...

thanks all

An 06 without a sunroof, didn't think that was possible.

Anyways, if its the same part number then it will work. That compartment is small so I would assume they're the same. I would ask here: https://g35driver.com/forums/exterio...r-members.html

Did Shaq own your car? LOL I honestly can't see how a person over 6-7 would even be able to sit up in our cars. Headroom is definitely not one of their strong points!

I know I was stunned! He was a fan of the car from day one and ordered his exactly the way he wanted it did a few engine mods and now has passed the torch to me. Thanks for the link I'll have a chat with them

I wish it were possible to order more cars without a sunroof. I see no value in this feature and think it sacrifices the structural integrity of the vehicle and adds maint. headaches done the road. It's really hard anymore to buy a nice car without one though. I guess to each his own.

It's just a novelty and luxury cars are full of those sorts of things. Unfortunately, most novelty features in a vehicle add weight/heft and introduce an extra element of potential maintenance and repair. Since we have it though, might as well enjoy it!

I, for one, appreciate opening my sunroof all the way while traveling inside tunnels and prior to going beneath underpasses because you can hear the exhaust note reverberating off of the surroundings a bit better through the opening above.

Oh... and b$%ches love sunroofs too, so it's an added bonus for you in there, even if you yourself don't appreciate the sunroof. Just make sure they don't get too feisty and try to stand on your seats with heels on to stand out the sunroof... I've heard horror stories of people with punctured leather seats as a result of such female vehicular frolicking.

After having a moonroof, I don't think I could own a car without one. Living in Santa Barbara, I always have the slider open and the glass cracked open.. It also acts as a wing/spoiler to give me better traction.
