Smile Finally going Big Boy. 6MT swap

Hey guys,

Just figured I'd share a little teaser picture for now. As the economy slowed down, so did the attention to my first love, but non daily driver. Back on it now and focusing on putting power down, having everything to hold it- and then fixing the way it looks.

What I've bought:
Brand new CD009 6MT Tranny
Kevlar Single disc JWT Clutch
Lightweight Flywheel
Adjustable Shortshifter
New Tranny Mounts
All the fixin's for the tranny swap (drive shaft, master / slave cyl etc)

This is as far as I've gone with the swap. My shop told me this would be the hard part-- I feel pretty good about doing it with my and a friend. We've learned a lot working on this car; this was pretty awesome.

Clutch pedal is installed and very operational-- just needs a 6MT attached to it ^_^

VIS CF Hood
New Greddy Front Bumper

Some SEXY '06 headlights (Before and after picture)
New Lens and white out turn signal lens as well.

New Side Mirrors with OB painted base. (Haven't arrived yet)

Goals?

Well, I've got 2 intake walbro pumps, a return, regulator and 750 RC CC injectors, HKS ignition amplifier and a Haltech to boot. With a built shortblock and freshly cleaned heads. I could never quite put down 500 horses with the 5AT, I'm sure we'll get close to 600, I'm sticking with pump gas though.

What's next? Stance and suspension. But most importantly, I've been to driving schools, but this is going to be my first daily driver MT. So I gotta learn how to drive it

Jesus maybe just have some fun with this bad boy?

TY for lookin.

EDIT: Credit going to the boys at PROs in Riveria Beach, FL. The work they do is too good. Finding someone in this part of the industry who does what he says he's going to do and stands behind his work is hella rare. Especially for the 10 years I've been going to Roger. If you need work done in South Florida, he's the ONLY place I take any of my cars.

No need to get a different ECU or TCU?

Well the Haltech is a standalone, but Mine is left over from my 5AT days. So I'm getting a 6MT ECU and just modding two wires. It's no big deal- You could buy a 6mt harness if you really wanted too, but my shop is going to just get the wires. Makes it so you have to have the clutch down to start the car, Neut position for cruise control and your reverse light. Not huge deals.

So my Haltech isn't a true stand alone, but I don't care since I'm never really going to need to change my idle as my heads will definitely be staying stock.

From what I understand you need to get a re-flash or swap the ECU to avoid a few CEL codes. There is another thread on this, a step by step DIY.

Well aware of the thread. If you read, I'm getting the 6MT ECU.

All you need is a 6mt engine harness...ecu's are the same, you'd just need to have it flashed to a 6mt rom with uprev. You CAN use your 5AT harness you'll just need to wire up a hot wire into the ignition fuse...you won't need to press in the clutch to start it up and this will cause your dash to not indicate what gear you're in

I loved my 5AT. Just wish it would hold more power. This will do though.

Just excited to get back on the road.

5AT is out, and going to my local shop to be rebuilt and then will put up for sale.

Flywheel is in, new ECU is around the corner. New body kit parts are in, everything's on track. More updates soon.
