Sirius Sattelite Radio Uninstall?
Hi, I just got my G35 Coupe 6MT..Black with wheat interior...I'm very excited. It has the Sirius Sattelite radio and I do not really have any use for it. Is it possible to remove it and sell it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
You could remove the receiver (which is in the left rear of the trunk under the Bose amp) and sell it on eBay or in the classifieds. Buying the unit separately from Grubbs is ~$300.
However, you may want to leave it in there for a bit before you decide for sure. I turned down satellite radio when I bought my G, only to add it myself 2 months later. I haven't listened to FM radio since! I love Sirius! Their customer leaves a bit to be desired, however...

Depends on what you want. They're both pretty close in terms of music variety, with Sirius carrying the NFL and NBA exclusively, while XM carries MLB. Sirius also carries Howard Stern, if that matters. I believe XM is slightly cheaper per month as well. XM seems to be doing better in terms of rollout to automakers and consumer devices, but Sirius seems to be doing better in content (at the moment at least.) It's a tossup. Check out both sites and compare.

Good choice IMO. Glad Lokey Infiniti hooked you up!

I personally like Sirius better (only by a little bit though). I have Sirius in my Dodge now (came with 1 year free) and have 2 XM units (one for work, and one for my wife). So I listen to satellite radio about 10 hours a day
However I ordered my new G with XM because it is cheaper and can get each additional receiver for only 6.99 a month (which is almost half of what sirius charges for each receiver). When it comes down to it, both services are great and honestly, it took me a couple of months before I could decide which one I liked better.
