Starting problems very unusual

Okay I got my spark plugs and the battery replaced not even 3 months ago so there brand new pretty much . Car worked fine after I got those replaced and than today all a sudden, my car wouldn't start again. It would crank just not turn over. I put the key in, put the car on neutral, and than the car started, but I noticed the red light beside the clock was on. From what I know this is the security feature where it doesn't recognize the key ? Also I noticed my gas gauge is somewhat off when I start the car. Like it would read a little tiny bit less than what it is actually is, than after about two mins the gas gauge would go up a bit to where it's supposed to be. Am not sure if this could be related or not. Anyways the car starts fine now and it RANDOMLY would not start I have to crank her and jimmy around with the steering wheel to get her going. Like I just was in my car now, and after driving down to the store and coming back I started her fine maybe 8 times in a row. This is quite embarrassing I don't want it to happen when am in a rush or with people any suggestions or thoughts ?

Maybe you always are parking with the wheel cranked? The wheel locks after you turn off the car to prevent from theft... And you have to loosen it off the lock by turning it the opposite way of the locking. Also you have a key that has battery or the signal capabilities issues. It might be thy you just have to plug the actual key into the keyhole for a while try that.
