0W20 vs 5W30

yea... 0-20 will burn off in these motors... even 30 tends to sometimes depending on brand... like JKL said, 40 weight is fine at higher temps, and i can personally confirm that 40 doesnt burn off if your engine is in good shape... i ran RP 10w-40 about 2 years ago through the summer... at the 3k mark, the dipstick was like a hair below F

A few years back, Honda switched from recommending 5W30 to 0W20 in many of their cars in order to meet new CAFE standards. My wife's 2007 Honda Pilot was one of them. I believe the reasoning is that 0W-20 will provide better gas mileage inside of a cold engine. I did notice that since the switch, the car tend to use a little more oil, but will no noticeable leaks or the traditional blue smoke out the tailpipe.

Running 5w20 is perfectly fine, you just don't want to be running 5w20 on a high mileage motor. The only difference between 5w20 and 0w20 is cold start viscosity, so 0w20 is fine as well. If I remember correctly, a brand new G came with 5w20 in the motor.
