New owner 04 Coupe 6MT Questions.

Recently purchased a 04 6MT coupe with 110K miles.

After driving the car for a day I come with a few questions.

The first thing that is bothering me is the exhaust. The car has Headers and Test Pipes installed. the sound is fine from 0-2700 RPM after that it sounds like metal raspyy sound.

Second of all the keyless entry. I can open the trunk, lower the windows, raise the windows. but i am unable to lock or unlock the doors with the remote?

Lastly the tailights. The car is pearl white and Im thinking that tinting the taillights will make it look a tad nicer. Do guys around here normally use VHT nightshades?

The exhaust sound you're experiencing is due to the factory exhaust not being able to handle the increased volume. Two ways to correct this situation, aftermarket exhaust or put the OE cats back on. Remote? That's the best feature of the remote, locks/unlocks the doors....try a new battery. Leave your tail lights alone, tinting them is illegal in all states! Do you really want to give the cops a reason to pull you over....running test pipes?

If the remote can open the trunk and open/close the windows, but it can't lock/unlock the doors, its not the remote's fault, its your door actuators that have to be replaced.

Don't tint the tail lights. Gives them one more reason to pull you over.

Alright, and for the doors, When i click the unlock or lock button i can hear something going on in the door but nothing happens? does that mean the actuators are still working or can they still make sound when broken. And its strange that BOTH do not work?

The actuators may have come loose from the rods. Take off the door panel and inspect.

What rods are you talking about? the OEM actuators have cables that snap into the door handle housing and I highly doubt those cables somehow got loose. You prob just have fault actuators that need replacing.

This. If nothing else flows with it, it just cheapens the cars look

What color is your G? I think the light taillight tint can be couples nice with black G's but not so much on other colors.

Test pipe is definitely the suspect of you raspy exhaust noise.
