How much hp will a 5AT 06 coupe make when it is FBO? (PS: no turbo or major add-on, just sticking to the NA engine)

Define FBO please. Short of cams and upgraded injectors I've added 44 WHP with most of the bolt-ons that are available.

& I could be wrong on this but generally its cheaper power to just go FI. A vortech supercharger would add nice gains and keep that NA feel as the power is increased with the rpm.....all motor bolt on's can be really expensive when your trying to squeeze every bit of HP out of each upgrade & the gains are minimal compared to any type of FI. Just throwing it out there, others can chime in better im sure as im rather new to this platform.

^ I agree with his statement on FI....but if you really want to keep it NA I believe you can safely achieve 300hp with "FBO" and tune. Correct me if I'm wrong guys

How much do these things make from the factory? Reason I ask is are we talking whp or crank hp? Either way I feel like 40whp although is a nice considerable gain id be willing to bet when you factor in the cost of the high end parts required to make that sort of gain and how quick that sort of gain actually feels or performs in the 1/4 is not comparible to any FI option. 40whp is a nice gain for sure but is the difference comparible for the $ to anything FI related? These are heavy cars....the difference in 40whp isnt the same as having a 2000lb civic where 40whp NA is a incredible difference.

Any again maybe im speculating, just stating what ive learned from previous setups and cars ive owned in the past. The G is still a new platform to me since its my DD but if I ever did boost it, I would honestly just vortech supercharge it. Ive have a vortech before on a different platform, the install is easy, its belt driven, it increases power like an NA car so there is no kick of torque or throwing the rear end sideways as soon as you hit boost etc. Its fun, reliable and typically a simple setup. Im only mentioning the vortech because you seemed to be stuck on staying NA and its the closest FI power curve your going to see related to the NA curve but much stronger.
