I have a 2005 g35 coupe automatic. It drives perfectly fine until I have it out for a while on a hot day. The inside of the car gets super hot even the pedals and then the car loses all power and stutters and then stalls. Once I leave it for a minute it will start but then stall right away. Once I leave it for a couple hours to cool down it drives perfectly fine again. Infiniti was stumped because by the time I got it towed to the dealership it was perfectly fine. Any ideas guys?

 

What's a "hot" day to you?

30celcius. I am thinking it could be a fuel pump about to go. But would a fuel pump crap out if the car was getting warm or driven hard

 

That's really not hot. The fuel pump shouldn't be affected by 30C (86F) ambient temps. That's a daily summertime low temperature for much of the southern US.

That is a good one though. I'll have to think for a bit

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest cam sensors.

 

It seems to start sputtering and stalling afterdriving 60 miles or when pushing the car up a hill. Does that make any difference?
