Hey guys just wondering if anyone in California had success at the smog station using OEM federal catalytic converters on your ca g35? Reason I'm asking is because I found a good set of OEM converters for a good price but they came off a car oringinally from Georgia. I know there are differences in federal and California but I believe it only has to do with aftermarket replacement using the proper carb issued numbers? Are all 03-06 catalytic converters designed the same and give to same results from the tailpipe?

 

I doubt if there's any difference between OE cats from other states. CA has laws regarding HFCs because they won't pass our sniffer tests. The new Star system in CA also has the tech doing a visual which sucks if you have an aftermarket intake without a CARB sticker, automatic failure!

Thanks for the response. I gives me more confidence in the purchase. Actually I'll probably be upgrading as they are the 370z catalytic converters. Already got the 370z exhaust manifolds... now I just need a set catalytic converters.
