Suspension problems help!!!
so recently I've been noticing that as i slow down my g35 makes a funny rattling sound coming from the front end of the car like more from the front passenger side. As i speed up the sound seems to fade away but come back again as i slow down. I went underneath my car to check both wheels to see any problems and noticed my lower ball joint (front passenger side) is leaking all its grease out could that be the problem which makes the noise??? help
I know its hard to replicate weird sounds, but if you could be more specific as far as what kind of rattling (I.e. which side, is there a vibration with it, is it a click, hum, thump, etc type rattle?)
I don't think its your balljoints, cuz everyone has the leaking lower bjs, but I've never heard of a correspomdimg rattle (a clunk, yes, but no rattle). Either way, those are on their way out, so plan on replacing those soon.

ive actually got a similar problem with my car although i wouldnt refer to it as a rattle...at low speeds it almost sounds as if my right front tire is out of shape and rubbing on something and make a rhythmic sound. only makes the noise at low speeds. makes my car sound cheap to be honest with you...i have looked at it and didnt notice anything out of sorts (although i could be looking at something out of sorts and wouldnt know it)
maybe we can kill 2 birds with one stone here for anyone that has had this kind of issue

I have a similar problem. The wheel almost feels loose and it is from the passenger side also. It sounds like a clunk/squeak and is more noticeable at slower speeds or while turning and or going over speed bumps. I have all but narrowed it down to it being the compression rod bushings based on their bad reputation on our cars.
Unfortuantely, there is no one in town (Ausitn, TX) that has the press to replace them. So, either I spend a day under the car doing it myself and taking it to a machine shop to press it out, or I just replace the whole compression rod (which would cost me a lot of unnecessary cash).
