Paddle shifting
Paddle shifting
So, the more I drive this car as an automatic, the more I want paddle shifters for the fun of it. I have read several threads on here and done some good research on google about adding a paddle shift option to this car.
I know about the works bell paddle shift kit but no one drives there car at 8:00 and 4:00, so that its somewhat out, because keeping your hands there to shift seems extremely foolish to me. Then I read a thread about someone who attempted to add OEM g37 paddle shifters but in the end they weren't successful and said, "I would suggest another route"
Has anyone successfully added OEM paddles to this car, how difficult was it, and what was the cost. I really want to add these to my G for the option to shift at the steering wheel, but I want to make sure that it is something that can be done. I recently bought a nissan GTR gear selector **** that I am going to "retrofit" on my G35 and it would be cool to add the paddle shifters as well!
Thanks in advance

Right, this kit is well know. For tepee g35 however if you notice, your hands sit very low on the steering wheel and it can be somewhat awkward when driving. The g37 paddle shift sits higher right where the steering grips are and it makes it much more comfortable to shift. There is a bit of information on it, jut no REAL ending determinations, someone made a write up for a how to, but several posts later he said, "doesn't work seek other options". I'm wondering if I could talk to someone who have made this work and what they had to go through to do so!

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I don't know of anyone on this forum that got the second gen OEM paddles to fit on their first gen. Seems Works Bell is the only option out there.
damn, I was thinking about the JDM paddles but if it costs to much, then its not really worth the outcome. I supposed I'll continue to look into works bell and see if its something I can live with
