I've just done 2 hours of searching and reading... but I might just be the only one with this issue...

So i just got my Southbend clutch in the mail. Was dong the clutch install when after installing the new throwout bearing I notice it was out of round ( egg shaped). After comparing the new and old they are by far different. The new throwout bearing is larger in height then the stock and maybe the ID could be a tad bit smaller ( need a caliper). So if anyone with answers please chip in. I'm also running a nismo flywheel.

Does an aftermarket clutch requires a thicker throwout bearing or always come with a thicker throwout bearing?

So I gather the Koyo numbers off both of the throw out bearings.
Stock was RCT4000SA - g35/350z
New was RCT40SA - 300zx (JWT.. don't ask me why I have a JWT T/O bearing in a southbend box. I have yet to find out myself)

Im confused now.... O.o unless the 300zx bearing is an upgrade but we just dont know about.

 

hey I'm going through the same thing right now! i got a luck poem replacement and the bearing and the area where the bearing goes is bigger than my original clutch. The shop guys are calling infiniti tomorrow and I'm hoping this won't cost a bunch.
