G35 catback

Hello have a 2003 g35 and I was looking to get a catback hks replica off amazon for about 250. But like most hks replicas I heard that they come with a loud drone/rasp and I don't want that in my g. So I ordered the magna flow x pipe since that's the most common thing to avoid the drone.my problem is that the hks has a inlet of 2.25 and I went and bought the 2.5 magnaflow x pipe to get welded into them catback. My question is that is there gonna be fitment issues or anything like that. Since there different a sizes and all

Magnaflow's x-pipe when installed on the authentic HKS exhaust was intended to replace their faulty crossover. Will it make your replica sound better? Couldn't hurt, that's not why we began using the x-pipe! You shouldn't have fitment issues, make sure you find a very good muffler mechanic and install the x-pipe in place of the crossover!

I actually just installed the HKS Replica. I bought it off Amazon from "Auto Dynasty" I believe their name was. But around the same cost of $250. I had a few fitment issues, but if you follow the golden rule of not tightening the bolts down as you put them on and just get all your bolts in place and put the exhaust on the hangers then it should be just fine. I started mine up and haven't had any exhaust leaks.

I did however have to take it to a muffler shop to get the hangers adjusted where the exhaust tips would be further from my bumper so it wouldn't melt it.

Overall its a good product for the price.
