Hello Community,
I have a question regarding the front parking lights on my 2003.5 G35 Sedan.

When I turn on the parking light switch/headlight switch the side marker lights turn on but the front parking lights do not turn on.

They seem to only turn on when I am signalling left or right and upon pressing the hazard button. It's driving me crazyyy

Is this normal for the 2003.5 cars or is it a bulb/ electrical issue? How can I fix this?

this is normal for the 03 -04, plus what you're point at isn't a parkinglight it's the turn signal only. Your parking light is located inside the headlight housing next to your signal.

 

I do not think the 03-04 sedans have a parking light within the headlight casing either. I think they added that later on. At least just referencing the sedans.

03-04 has the parking lights just above fog light/high beam bulb which is a 194 peanut bulb. 05-06 sedans do not have this parking light inside the headlight assy. Hope this helps guys.

Always here to help my fellow G owners out. Try to get on as much as possible but been busy here at good ol Infiniti putting timing chains and oil jets in these QX56's all the time. Thanks for the compliment sir.

 

Thanks for you reply, but I am still confused to what parking light you are referring too... maybe I am not seeing it . Above the fog light/high beam bulb? The only thing I see above the highbeam/foglight is the xenon headlight part.

Do you have any pictures. to guide me?

 

Are you indicating that the only parking lights on the 03-04 sedans are the side markers?

Here are the illustrations from the service manual. HID version 1st, Halogen 2nd. I like that they call it a "clearance lamp".

The turn signal bulb has two filaments (one for when you signal, and one that makes it automatically stay on), one of the filaments is burnt out which is why ur lights are only coming on when you signal. Had the same problem a few weeks ago, bulbs are cheap $10 i believe, hope this helps!

 

I think the double-filament bulb didn't appear until '05... '03 & '04 were as pictured above.
