Ok so i have a G 114k miles. When i press on the brake i can hear like a “screeching” sound at low speeds maybe like from 20mph and lower. it sounds like if its coming from the back driver side. Im wondering if its the brake pads but then my car brakes are real good as in stoping the car. I haven't checked if they still have a lot of “padding” left any ideas?

Another thing, does this car have auto dimming on the mirror? inside mirror at night i cant see anything when im backing out of my drive way. My mirror has the garage buttons i dont see anything for auto dimming.

Tomorrow is Monday, locate a independent brake/alignment shop in your area...have them check out your brakes. You should have an auto dim rear vision mirror, press the button and see if it's working. You can't see out the back window when backing out? Do you have 5% tint on your windows?

The brake sound might be something that just needs a little bit of lube or something. Of course any shop can take a look and let you know if you need new pads/rotors. I got a set of Duralast C Max from Autozone, they are not bad at all! At $100, and lifetime warranty it will be worth its weight in gold the way these cars go through brakes.

As for your mirror, there should be a green LED lit up to show dimming is on. If its not on press the auto button and you will see the green light turn on.
