Resonator Vs. Cats
My cats are rusted out and I'm looking at buying these.

Would these throw a CEL?

Does Indiana have laws about removing the converters? Although they cost more you're better off with HFCs (high flow cats) like Fast Intentions...legal in all states except CA. One more bit of advice, don't buy anything from eBay there's a reason the prices are cheap...they sell garbage. Buy what you want from our Marketplace, our vendors back all products with a guarantee!

Good products wont throw a CEL. At least my Berks never gave me any issues, I'm sure the same could be said for the other good products on the marketplace (Fast Intentions/Motordyne)
You can get extensions for the O2 sensors that get them out of the gas stream. They just screw on and then the O2 sensors screw in. It stops the contamination.
One thing though, test pipes make you car STINK.

You would probably need some non-foulers (cheap at any auto parts store) to avoid the CEL from throwing a code for your O2 sensors. As mentioned above the higher-end test pipes will have built-in fixes so that the CEL does not come on. I have a set of Fast Intentions resonated test pipes and have not thrown any codes after about 2000 miles. They were expensive though ($350) but they are worth the money and quality. With the Top Speed test pipes (and Megan as well) there are common issues such as flex pipes cracking. I've heard people that have had to replace them after only a year.
