What Warranty Work Have you Had Done?

It's been 15 months since I purchased my '04 coupe and it has been to the dealer for warranty work 3 times. Thank God it's nothing major, but I still think it's a bit much for this car...Here's a list of the work done.

1. CD player stopped reading discs so they changed it.

2. This is a double whammy from 2 weeks ago...the fuel sending unit was changed after the gas gauge never read full and the PASSENGER window motor was replaced.

3. Now on Monday, they are replacing the DRIVER window motor.

(FINGER'S CROSSED) Hopefully there won't be any mechanical problems. I still love this car and would not buy anuthing else but these small problems are getting annoying...

Hmm, my gauge never reads full either and when it gets to almost empty, its only used 13 gallons

Im scared to even call the dealer though unless I know its a TSB; they'll do whatever possible to get you to fork over money

The fuel sending unit was replaced for free and the guy did say that there has been a few people coming in for the same reason I did. There have been many threads regarding this and we are not the only ones.

CD thing, rear view mirror broke off ( to much bass ). The window thing, it was gunna happen so no worries everyone's car eventually will need this fixes. I just suprised most people it happens to around 8K miles, im at 15K now and i roll my windows up and down 25 times a day. Ok so with that said im guessing there gunna break tommorow.

I've had cars ('98 200SX, '02 Altima) with power windows for much longer with no such problem with it going up or down. Just seems weird for a higher-end piece of machinery.

Drivers side window motor
Front rotors/pads - Rear rotors resurfaced/pads
Drivers leather seat bottom and cushion

My gas gauge never really makes it past the full hash mark, but have not taken it in yet for them to check.....
How long would that be under warranty? I have 22,000 miles on my car now.........

What I was wondering is, for those who have had their power window motors replaced, do they just go out again at a later time or did they finally revise the motor so it will last a lot longer? Besides my new G, I have a '91 300ZX (over 14 years old) and the original power window motors still work perfect!

Thanks gspotter..........

I was told at the time of replacement that they had revised the motors. If this is true, only time will tell. I have read on this forum that more than one person had to have the same motor replaced several times......So I guess for me its the waiting game....
I know that this replacement motor does not lower the window as much as the original or passenger side window....
This year I played it safe and when the temp dropped below freezing, I simply lowered my window just a tad to disengage the auto lower feature. This prevents the window from freezing up and not lowering when I open my door.
