Window Problems

Okay so my passenger window will not work with the switches in the car but if i hold the unlock button on the key fob it will come down, and then to get it back up i have to put the key in the door and hold it in the lock position. so it can't be the window motor right??

any help is greatly appreciated!

This one is going to make you feel really dumb, but there is a switch on the drivers side arm controls (where window switch is) and it is pressed down. Press it again (and let it pop out) and try your switch again.

Don't feel so bad, I had a similar experience a week or so ago after detailing the interior and hit the lock button. Luckily I popped the lock button up before getting too ticked off and ripping off the door panel.

Every other car I've owned has let the drivers side window switch operate all windows when locked except a G apparently.

One more stupid mistake to avoid is the door for the gas tank. If the doors are locked so is your gas tank door.

I was dumb enough to complain about the problem at the dealership when dropping it off for an oil change.

The guy looked at me like I was from another planet and asked if I ever read the manual. I told him that his was a stupid question, it was obvious that I hadn't read it. Who reads manuals?

Yeah I bought the part, went to install the switch and was sulking as a total moron. Before that I had the window open cleaning the car and couldn't close it after.

The part where the drivers switch doesn't work REALLLLLLY pissed me off. My honda, acura, american, no problem.

One day you'll grow wiser. You really should read the manual (Especially if it comes from China). Last week I bought an aftermarket back up camera and the english translation was HILARIOUS!

I read the technical necessities like setting up Bluetooth and Homelink, everything else is trial and error.

I've gotten older just fine, hopefully wiser will catch up at some point
