Seat belt extender

Does the seat belt extender cure the uncomfortable seat belts we have in our coupe? What does it look like and how does it work?

I agree with you, the seatbelts in our cars are horrible. My G is the reason I stopped wearing mine...

Yeah, I thought this was one of tha flaws in the coupe. The seatbelts should sit lower so that it won't feel like your getting choked. But if ur tall, then this shouldn't be a prob though. I would suggest getting some seatbeat pads...don't know if ya are into that look but it should help though. Getting some pads that says "NISMO" would be cool looking though =) I'm sure they make them, finding them would be the hard part.

I tried pads before and they didnt help. I wish the plastic arm piece where the seat belt attaches to the side of the car would be longer.

I am six feet and position the seat as low as it will go and the belt position seems right on to me, no choking thats for sure. No offense but how tall are you guys? If it is choking you guys I can't think of a real rememdy for it. Seat belt extender? Are you referign to the little arm on the b pillar that holds the belt?

I'm 6'5" and it rides right across my chest. I wish the metal bracket the buckle is attached to was shorter. mine always pivots backwards and the lap belt ends up across my stomach.

Man, i thought i am the only person who's getting choke everyday. I wanted to get the nismo seatbet pads, but dont' know if it's kinda ricey. Oh well, the car is so good, that i don't care about the choking anymore.

I'm not getting choked. It feels like someone is putting their foot on the lower seat belt area, which tightens the belt up putting pressure on my collar bone area.

Yeah its fine for me in the driver's seat (I'm 6'1 or so) but had a passenger complain about it because it was pretty high up on her body. Also complained that it wouldn't give any lag so it was like she was trapped in the seat.

Now wait a sec... Maybe this isn't such a bad thing

But really, is there something that can be done for this?

Call your dealer (or maybe Grubbs), they have a replacement for the arm that holds the belt that is a little longer and supposed to help. Our salesman mentioned it to us and I still need to get one, when I called it was something like $25-$45.

I'm 5'9" and not particularly bothered by this but our G is my wife's car and she's all of 5'1" and it was cutting into her neck when we first got it (about the only ergonomic complaint). I went to the auto parts store and got a little rice-boy-esque pad that was black and turned over you can't really see it (the front side has some cheesy printing on it or something). This has fixed the problem but I still intend on getting the proper seatbelt extender and see how much better that makes it.
