Sell my car as is or revert to stock?

Hey guys,

I unfortunately need to sell my 07 G35 coupe.

Do you guys think I would get more money for the car with my mods on or if I reverted it to stock?

My mods on the car are the motordyne mrev2, spacer, xyz pipe with hfc, and stillin cai. Keep in mind I dont have a garage so most of the mods would have to be removed by a mechanic.

Also there are a lot of dents on the hood of my car, do you think itd be better to repair them for a cost of $1600, or just sell as is?

Im pretty new to this so I appreciate the help.

Thanks,

Canehdian

If you were doing it yourself it would be MUCH better to go back to stock. Going to a mechanic tho...eek! Not worth it.

Find the right buyer and they might love that there is some mods to it. Then again, could scare some away

you would be able to sell it easier to put it back to stock then modded.

IMO you will never be able to justify higher price of the car with mods. Be prepared to sell the car for unmoded price.
What you need to consider is whether the cost of labor for removing those mods will be recouped by the value of the parts. I do not think it would. It would only make sense if you do the labor your self. If this option is impossible you can sell your mods with request that buyer does the swap. Allot of people do it.

The spacer might be a pain to remove on your own but it would be worth it to you to find someone to trade the xyz and hfc and let them pay to have them swapped. As far as the hood, I think you should either find a cheap one online or just leave it. 1600 is too much. You can find a used one in good condition for around 300-400 maybe even less. Good luck.

What part of canada are you in?

I would honestly bet if you do a straight trade of HFC+Y pipe for stock + work of swap you will have someone show up at your apartment with all the tools to get it done right. As for the hood, You can buy a junked car's hood and repaint is for $400.

sell parts, get your money back. and sell car stock.
thats what i would do... or just sell it how it is. i wouldn't fix anything on it since it is a "used" car

Do you have the stock parts to put back on the G? I'd be interested in working out something on your exhaust parts for my stock...otherwise, I'd try to return it to stock as much as possible.

Yeah if you or a buddy of yours can do all the labor part and make your car stock you'll probably make more money. Sell the car stock price and all the pieces separately. and 1600 to repair a hood is ridiculous IMO. goodluck with the sale!

I say do what you can do and put most parts back to stock and sell your after market parts. If you do find the right buyer for the after market parts, Great but GL w/ that.
