First oil change, when??

First oil change, when??
So when was your first oil change? My dealership is giving me my first oil change for free. I have about 1100 miles right now, almost at the end of my break-in period. I'm taking my car back to my dealership (90 miles away) for some minor stuff done. Should I just do my oil change now? How do you work around the standard oil change maintenance schedule? Since its 3750, 7500, etc.....or should I just wait a lil longer?
Why am I heading back to my dealership? Wellz, they drilled my license plate holes in crooked (they are going to fix it by adjusting the bracked instead) and they didn't fully protect my leather w/ this protection plan that I gotten (they rushed the job, leaving some missing spots). Paid $770 for a 5 years exterior/interior protection plan, they better do it right.
For my inconvenience, I'm was only gonna get a free oil change at first, then later talked them into giving me free wheel locks and a set of license plate frames of my choice. The service manager was really cool about it though, he was easy to talk to.

Look you really should have your oiled change after about 1000 miles or after the break-in period. After that, change it every 7500 miles. Dont go from 0-7500 ( not good ) and if your gunna be bad about changing ur oil at least use a full synthetic oil. And remember were all this site for the same reason, to help each other, I wouldn't tell you do something bad for the car. I was told to do this, as I've told many people to its not a bad idea to change your oil after the first 1k miles. There's all kinds of metals from the new engine there, you want to get those out before they build up inside.

But to use synthetic oil or not? I've heard in the past that our car doesn't need or recommend synthetic oil is this true? I guess I will get my first oil change today then, since I will get 1200 miles on the way to the dealership cause I really don't know when the next time I'm gonna head back there, if ever again. Thanks guys.

to use or not to use synthetic...
YES !
true if your changing your oil every 5k, IMO you will still have sufficient additives within dino or synthetic to protect the car.... the thing is...
Synthetic has the ability to lubricate engine parts MUCH better and stick to parts when engine is off then regular oil. additionally synthetic has more additives. Synthetic doesnt slime up like dino when it gets colder (majority of wear occurs when engine starts when oil isnt on the parts). theres a few more reasons why synthetic is better then dino. but you get the idea.

Definitely change your oil before 3750mi if you want to keep your car for a while, I changed mine at 1200mi then at 3500. Oil filters are not 100% efficient and used oil analyses have always shown a great deal of wear metals in new engines, way above what I would want running through my engine. Use a good dino (GTX/Pennzoil) till 10k and you're set for synthetic.
