just got my car back from getting transgo shift kit installed and wow!

ok so i was a skeptic on doing this mod to my car, ive hurd good and bad things about it. but since reverse decided to go on vacation in my old tranny i picked up a used one and installed a transgo shift kit. all i can say is this was the best 229$ ive ever spent. durring regular driving conditions its just like the stock tranny shifts nice and smooth...but when u put the boots to it wow... alive it comes every shift now is a crisp fast shift and it makes the car feel like it gained 50 hp. i cant express enough how much everyone should look into this mod for your auto. im lovin it!

Did you install your self or have someone else do it?

It's a fabulous mod, love mine...it's even better when adjusted properly in uprev tuning for increased line pressure/torque management

I would guess he had it done. "just got my car back from getting transgo shift kit installed"

Transgo is a great mod for any auto G. Really makes a huge difference.

You're getting about 50% of what the mod can do just bolting it on...the line pressure can be increased in uprev which makes the shifts bang out a lot harder. Tire and neck jerking. You'll want to tune your car when you're done with your breather mods (exhausts and etc) to get the full benefit of the modifications. Uprev is the best option.

This is kinda the first i've heard of a tune AFTER a trans-go install.

While i do understand the logic you are stating. I'm wondering of going trans-go myself and getting a retune.

Uprev tune is without a doubt the best mod i've done to my car, since i've done all the bolt-on mods i really wanted.

From my wasted time browsing here, transgo should be paired with a tune.

Yes, all mandatory mods i'd say.

Typically 4-600 dollars pending on your local options. Money well spent.

Yes, transgo technically has to be tuned for the full benefit...when i replaced my motor and transmission the new transmission had transgo in it already. I was able to feel the difference before/after tuning. Very good before tune. Bat-**** crazy after tune. It's definitely a quarter mile mod.

What does it do for the longevity of the transmission though? Scares me to think rough shifts equate to damage.

^^The general belief is that it is actually better on the tranny with the Transgo. It makes the shifts more efficient and that keeps down heat which is a transmission killer.
