Drove to autozone to pick up some german castrol 0w30 for an oil change. They did not have it in stock so I ended up picking up castrol 5w30, but on the shelf I also noticed some castrol 0w40 made in Belgium. I was tempted to purchase, but could not find any information on wether or not it was ok for our cars. Has anybody ran this castrol 0w40?

 

Nobody with information?? Looks like I found the oil for my next oil change, hopefully all goes good. On other forums they mention that it's the equivalent to the mobil 0w40, which a lot of member are running without any problems.

People get so hung up on oil questions. The weight of oil you use should be directly related to the climate in which you live. The colder the climate, the thinner the oil. Get a brand you trust and its that simple.

 

If you look at oil reports, those who consume oil have to stick to a few specific oils. Some burn like water.
