Best Performing Aero

Just wondering if anyone has ever looked into which front bumpers or full aero are best performing for our cars. Most threads are about what looks better, but I would rather have a better performing part than one that looks good. I always thought the Top Secret Bumper and/or kit would be best for aerodynamics since Smokey Nagata is a huge wangan top speed runner, and aero is a contributing factor for top speed. Also this is for turbo charged applications, I never understood why people would have a single FMIC and have the nismo front bumper. It doesn't look like the intercooler gets as much air as it could or should compared to a Top Secret bumper.

Our stock Cd is much lower then any other cars and improvements in this area are only for looks. Any more aero is useless until unreachable highway speeds.

For more air on a FMIC, definitely go with a larger opening, but you want to be careful not to look like a neon.

Turbos are probably not street legal in any state, so obviously bumpers that block the intercooler are not the best for performance but they also don't advertise the extent of modifications.
Are you looking for downforce or just something that allows more air through the front?

I'm looking for downforce and reduced drag. It would be nice to actually buy a aero kit that is functional as opposed to just looks. I've checked on numerous aero kits to see if there were any tests conducted on them, So far the only aero to claim it's beneficial design is nismo which Nissan says is track tested and proven.

The Nismo spoiler gives great downforce at low speeds. If you are tracking your car you might look into the APR GTC-200. It gives great linear downforce at 70 mph. Although it looks the most non-stock of any spoiler.

If you get the Nismo spoiler you should also get the Nismo track wheels for the 350Z .

Cheapest way to get a Nismo 350Z

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231043758549

Park it right outside, in your garage, on your shelf...
