First thing to start with is resetting the switch.

1) Use the auto feature to roll your window down
2) Then, roll up manually and hold switch up for 10 seconds.
3) Then use auto feature again to go down.
4) Try using auto feature to go up again and it should not roll back down a quarter of the way.

Hope this is the answer.

Keep me posted.

Rip the motor out and take it apart and clean it. I did that on mine and it works great now.

You'd be amazed at how much stuff gets caught in there and how much carbon builds up.

The one above does not work for V35 chassis. You have to take the panel off and press a button.

Be careful when you put the shaft back into the motor. There are two very small rounded magnets on the side that you don't want to damage while putting it back in. Just look and down into the motor when you put it back together and try not to spin the shaft/pin too much trying to force it back in... if it takes more than just a little bit of effort to get it back into the motor chassis, you're probably not lined up right and are hitting the lip those magnets. This should make a lot more sense once you get the motor out and see it in person.

You don't need to replace the window motor, just take the door panel off and do the window reset procedure. That will fix the issue that you described, the procedure that someone noted in an answer is not the correct one for this vehicle. Just Google it and you will probably find a youtube video for it.

The only time you need to replace or pull the window motor apart is if it refuses to move the window up and down.
