I also get to 60 in 2nd gear without gettin to deep into redline, or just at the redline

I can consistantly hit 60 mph in second gear....although my rev limiter kicks in at 6900 rpms as opposed to the 6600....(I have an 04 6mt...only mod is an injen intake.)

anyhow 2nd gear at 6600 rpm is = to 61 mph....just a fact....0-60 with 1 shift can get you there in 5.5....0-60 in 2 shifts which take place in most tests =5.7-5.9....

I don't think the 05 is as fast as the 04 or 03.....They have tested the anniversery 350z 3 times all the tests of the 35th anniversery 350z have proven slower (it posted a 14.3 quarter). 0-60 ranged between 5.6-5.8... ...that is in noway faster than an 04 350 z or g356mt
