Hello all, im new to the forum so im not sure if this is the right place to be posting this, but ive been hearing this weird whistling/squealing noise from the rear end of my 05 g35 coupe. it seems to be coming from the back passenger side wheel. it only occurs when i let off the gas. when accelerating or braking it dissapears. what could this be ? ive only had the car from about 3 months and recently had the brake pads and rotors replaced due to loud squealing brakes. is this related to the problem im having ? Thanks in advance and i hope this was the right place to ask this question !

 

hmm its kinda hard to diagnose without being in your car. try and get a video of the problem and then we can narrow it down more. it could be something as simple as something stuck to your car creating the whistle, or a bad door seal causing the whistle. or it could be your brakes, or a hundred other suspension components.

 

Mine has that same noise when I'm cruising at 74-76mph (which sucks cuz that's the Gs optimal cruising speed). 73 its not there, 77 its not there. It also disappears when I let off the gas. Its a common thing you just have to deal with. I don't think there's a fix yet.

 

I'll try to get a video this afternoon. The noise occurs at any speed. Low speeds mainly.
